In past, it is hard to find any known viruses or malware affecting mac operating system. There was less threats attacking on Mac system in comparison to P.C users. But nowadays, Mac system is also more vulnerable to the attack or threats and malware. All of the Mac or PC users are aware with the damaged caused by viruses or malware so it must to protect Mac from virus and spyware or malware.

Mac system is more secure and stable than Windows based system but for safety reason it is necessary to know Mac virus protection error. 4. Virutal memory has important part in Mac computer because all the application and services which are opened reside on it and hence it is necessary to secure virtual memory.
5. Make sure that you have updated with current security update.
6. Turn on file Vault because this is the best way to manage files on Macintosh computer. It uses encryption which track which files are loaded at the time of system start or log off.
7. If this is not needed on daily basis then turn off the administrator account. Also turn off System Preferences. Changes within the system Preferences will also make difference to your security.
8. Prevent your system from any unnecessary application running on your system. By this you protect mac system from the susceptibility by having on those services which are needed running at a time.
9. Use Apple download validation feature which warn you about the unsafe file type which you are downloading from network. You can cancel this process if you are having any doubt on it.
10. You should download or install any application from the trusted sources.
11. Immediately delete unnecessary junk mail or mail which is send by any unauthorized user having questionable subject line.

It is important to be alert while you are using Mac system. Always try to make backup on regular event. If accidentally your system caught by any virus or malware then your system get problem of slow performance and it also affect applications or service which are running on your mac system then you should use Antivirus software but if this is not making system clean just format Mac system.

Formatting is the last and better solution to get rid from Mac virus. Formatting just clean your Mac hard drive.
