Now Apple is ready with the new set of eight major release of Mac OS X ---- MAC OS X 10.7 Lion . It is new operating system for Macintosh computers. It is the clear concept regarding the future of desktop operating system. It is publicly exposed on 20 th October, 2010 at Apple's ‘Back to the Mac' event. Features of this OS are heavily inspired by Apple's iOS (touchscreen based OS). Rather than integrating iOS directly into Mac OS X, only ideas have been taken. Apple is highly inspired with iPhone and iPad innovation and introduced in its next OS X.

| Multitouch gestures--- Till now, Mac is using mouse driven feature but now dismissing that it introduce new feature of touch input like iOS device (perhaps it is replacing dashboard). Apple is known with the fact that touchscreen will not work on Notebooks, so Apple has introduced it using the large horizontal touch screen input device like laptop trackpad and In the desktop get multitouch via the Magic Mouse and Magic Trackpad. Because vertical touchscreen look well but it makes your arm hurt after using short period of time. Keeping this in mind, Apple has improved multitouch gesture more than Snow leopard where Multitouch support included already. It is expected it is going to be the best part of OS 10.7 lion. |  |
| Mac App Store-- Like App store iOS, New Mac 10.7 also have this. This is an application introduced for all Mac OS X users which enable users to explore more apps, one-click download, one click installation and one-click updates to all apps or selected one. But unlike the iOS version, this is not the only way to get Mac apps. |  |
| Mission Control—This is the way of better window management, widget and multiple desktop. In OS 10.7 lion, features like Dashboard, Expose, Spaces along with full screen views are combined altogether in one called Mission Control. With the use of this feature Mac user can view anything which is running on a Mac and immediately can move from one application to another.
