Solve “HFS+ partition error” Error in Mac OS X

HFS + is the advanced file system which is designed by Apple to replace HFS (Hierarchical file system). HFS is used before as primary file organization system in Mac OS but now it has been replaced by HFS+. HFS file system volumes are made of various metadata structures such as Catalog File, Volume Header, Allocation File and more. These different types of data labels are defined on their different sectors.

Instead of MDB (Master directory block) volume header is used and contains volume metadata. Sometimes these metadata structures get corrupted due to some internal problem or error. This problem, error or corruption of metadata structures could easily result in the data loss. Data stored in the mac system become inaccessible due to the corruption in the metadata labels. Here you need to recover data which is important for you but have been lost due to any reason.

This situation leads with the problem that whenever you try to boot your Mac system or try to retrieve any information from HFS + file system then user encounter with the error message “HFS+ partition error”.   3. If possible then go for repartition just because the error might be due to an HFS+ partition problem. But if you are not latest backup then it is recommended to not go for it.
