Changing the hard drive file system from FAT32 to HFS and once changed keep off from using the drive in Windows system as the file system HFS could not be read in Windows

For cases other than that, i.e. if its file system or hard disk structure is corrupted the drive has to be formatted for restoring it to normal working condition. Though is necessary, it would end up with deletion of all hard drive stored data files. Mac deleted file recovery then has to be done for restoring the files back onto a safe location for proper accessibility as before.
